The Santa Cruz Sentinel Newspaper: The Santa Cruz Sentinel is the Santa Cruz County local newspaper. The classified section of the paper advertises apartments, homes and rooms for rent.

Avalon Communities includes a range of options in the Greater San Francisco/San Jose area, many of which are currently accepting applications for affordable housing programs. Students should arrive in Santa Cruz at least a week before orientation and be prepared to spend a few days at a hotel while searching for housing. Transportation

Cabrillo College is easily accessible on the local bus system. Routes 54, 55, 69, 71, and 91 all stop at Cabrillo College. To access a Santa Cruz Metro bus schedule, please visit www.scmtd.com.

All registered students may purchase a parking permit through Cabrillo College and bus passes are available through Santa Cruz Metro or on our campus.  Students receive a 20% discount on a bus pass purchased at the Cabrillo campus.

If you are arriving from the San Jose or San Francisco Airports, you may reserve a shuttle to pick you up at the airport. One company that serves both airports and accepts online reservations is the Santa Cruz Airport Flyer. The cost is $40 from San Jose and $55 from San Francisco.
