Sophomore defensive back Christian Rodriguez returned an interception for a touchdown for the second straight game, this time from 19 yards out, and the Cabrillo College football team pulled away from host Gavilan 38-10 on Saturday at Gilroy High.
Rodriguez, a Gilroy High alumnus, said he felt at home and comfortable though the Seahawks were playing on the road for a third straight week.
"It definitely felt good and we definitely needed that," Rodriguez said of his interception return. "Defense wins championships. If we keep going on the same road we're going, we're going to be in a bowl game."
