For the third straight week, Cabrillo College's defense returned an interception for a touchdown, and the Seahawks football team rolled over visiting San Jose City 34-8 in the teams' Golden Coast Conference game Saturday at Carl Conelly Stadium.

Joseph Lowe opened scoring with his 35-yard interception return in the second quarter. From there, sophomore quarterback Devon Daich took over and Cabrillo made it a romp.

Daich, a Monte Vista Christian School alumnus, completed 24 of 38 passes for 411 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions as the Seahawks won their fourth straight game.

The Seahawks (7-1, 3-1) play at Merced (3-5, 1-3) on Saturday at 1 p.m. before closing the regular season with a home game against Monterey Peninsula (7-0, 3-0) at 1 p.m. on Nov. 16. Reedley sits atop the conference standings at 7-1, 4-0.
