Three Seahawk ballers sign letters of intent to play at four year schools

Sophomore guard Trey Whitley has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Black Hills State University in South Dakota. Whitley, a 6' Santa Cruz county product (Harbor High grad) was the MVP of the Coast Conference South Division averaging 19 pts/gm.

Whitley connected on 50% of his FG attemtps from the fl., 40% from the 3 pt arc and over 80% from the free throw line on the year. Whitley was also a 1st Team All-State player. He is the 9th Seahawk in a row to be named MVP of the Coast Conference South Division.

Black Hills State is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and is a Div II school.

 

Sophomore Yeskin Williams has signed scholarship papers with WIley College, Marshall, TX. Williams a native of Houston, TX. transferred to Cabrillo from the University of South Carolina-Upstate (NCAA Div. I) after his freshman year.

The 6'6" forward was a second team ALL-Coast Conference South Division selection. Williams shot 52% from the fl., averaged 7.5 rebounds/gm. 3.4 assisits/gm, 2.0 steals/gm while also averaging 10.4 points/gm. He was the best defender on a team that lead the state in a couple of defensive categories including fewest average points allowed/gm (61), ranked #1 in the state and the #8 ranked in FG% defense.

Wiley College is a member of the Red River Conference (NAIA) and went 24-7 this past year.

 

Sophomore Lenorris Mincey has signed a Letter of Intent to attend Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, KY. Mincey, a native of Apopka, FL., helped lead the Seahawks to a 20-8 record this year and a second place finish in the Coast Conference South Division.

The 6'5" 215 lb forward had an outstanding two years career at Cabrillo with a 37-19 overall record. A Coast Conference South Championship (18') and a 2nd place finish (19'). Mincey averaged 8.7 pts/gm, 6.3 rebs/gm. He shot 57% from the fl., 37.5 from 3 pt. this past year.

Campbellsville University was 22-10 last year and is an NAIA member of the Mid-South Conference.
