APTOS - The women's water polo team took control of the Coast Conference by defeating the visiting Sacramento City College Panthers, 13-10, in the opening game of the Bockman Memorial Classic
The Seahawks (4-2) held on for the win after Sacramento City (6-6) scored several goals in the wanning minutes of the second half, anchored by sophomore goalie Zoe Brouillet who stood on her head to preserve the win.
Sophomore Grace Frias and freshman Kelly Taylor scored four goals each for Cabrillo in the victory.
The ladies take to the pool again at 4:30 to face off againt Cuesta College (8-4).
