The Cabrillo College football team cranked up its offense and kept its bid to earn a bowl game alive with a 52-24 thrashing of host Merced on Saturday.
The Seahawks amassed 626 yards on offense. Quarterback Devon Daich, a Monte Vista Christian School alumnus, passed for 348 yards three touchdowns and ran for one of his team's four rushing scores.
With the win, Cabrillo continued its best start since going 10-1 under coach Steve Cox in 1999.
