Cabrillo College football star Kameron Pleasant, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound sophomore wide receiver out of Detroit, was named a first-team All-American on offense, the JC Athletic Bureau-California Community College Football Coaches Association revealed Thursday.

"The sky is the limit for him," Seahawks coach Darren Arbet said after Living Breath Foundation Bowl in Salinas on Dec. 1. "I'm proud of Kam. He's done a lot of good things for Cabrillo College and I'm happy he came here and played."

Pleasant was earlier named Offensive MVP of the Golden Coast Conference. He helped the Seahawks (8-3, 4-2) take third place in conference and advance to its first bowl game since 2007. The Seahawks finished with their best record since going 10-1 in 1999.

"Oh man," Pleasant said after hearing of his latest honor. "I'm pretty excited and surprised. I wasn't expecting this."
