Sophomore guard Austin James scored a game-high 26 points, and the Cabrillo College men's basketball team beat Monterey Peninsula College 64-54 in the teams' Coast Conference South Division game Friday night.

For safety reasons during the pandemic, the contest was played without spectators.

Freshman guard Joe Rush III scored 19 points for the Seahawks (9-7, 2-1). Forwards Ronique Spencer and Samy Buteau each scored six points.

Jayden Madise scored 14 points to lead MPC (12-5, 1-2).
