Cabrillo men’s water polo goes 2-0 to open Bruce Watson Invitational | Santa Cruz Sentinel

The Cabrillo College men's water polo team went 2-0 on the opening day of the Bruce Watson Invitational at West Valley College in Saratoga on Friday.

The Seahawks beat San Mateo, 14-4, and Las Positas, 21-9.

"A solid start to what will become a more competitive weekend," Seahawks coach Jasper Billings said. "We were excited to have a full team, including one substitute. Our second game had a greater diversity of scorers and types of shots from various locations."

Brody Neilsen scored a combined 15 goals for Cabrillo. Nolan Nguyen had six goals, Reed Barbour scored five goals, Ayden Reed and Nick Marini each scored four, and Cade Martin added a goal.
