APTOS — Though it's under new management, relatively speaking, Cabrillo College's women's volleyball team has its roster from last season largely intact.

Given that Cabrillo captured the Coast Conference North title and reached the California Community College Athletic Association's NorCal final last autumn before falling to eventual state champion Fresno City, that bodes especially well for the Seahawks this season.

"The majority of the team is returning," first-year coach Gerardo Aleu said via e-mail. "There really are no key players. They work very hard to win as a whole unit rather than one or two Seahawks."
