The No. 23 seed Cabrillo College baseball team competed its stunning upset of No. 2  Fresno City in the first round of the CCCAA NorCal Regional playoffs on Friday.

The Seahawks prevailed 11-9 in the Game 3 of the teams' best-of-three series after falling 10-9 in 11 innings earlier in the day. Cabrillo won 14-11 over the Rams (31-12) in the series opener Friday.

A total of 64 runs were scored in the series, making it a great weekend for batting averages and bad one for earned-run averages.
