Cabrillo College's baseball team wasn't ready to see its season end, so it played like there was no tomorrow. And, now, there is.
The No. 3 Seahawks scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth inning, and rallied past No. 2 Santa Rosa for a thrilling, 7-6, walk-off win in an elimination game at the Chabot Super Regional in Hayward on Friday.
Cabrillo (23-22), the third-place finisher in the Coast Conference South Division, faces No. 1 Chabot (32-11), the Coast Conference North Division champion, in the championship game on Saturday at noon.
The winner advances to the NorCal Regional Finals, which run Friday-May 19.
The 3C2A State Championship Tournament takes place at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut on May 25-27.
