Matt Hopkins is a graduate of Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University with a Master's in Sports Law and Business. Born and raised in Santa Cruz County Hopkins played basketball at Santa Cruz High School and then at Cabrillo College where he was part of a conference championship under former Head Coach Tony Marcopolous. He has worked as a Skill Development Coach at Unlimited Potential Basketball with NBA skills trainer Packie Turner. He has coached at several elite camps and showcases including the International Sports Academy (ISA) 17u AAU team. Hopkins has a wide range of experience working with youth, high-major D1, and professional players. He has a very high sense of detail about basketball fundamentals and has a proven record of player development.
