Lahood and Duran Play On! | Softball

After lighting up the 2020 season with their bats and stellar defensive play, Lauren Lahood and Andrea Duran have committed to play on in the NCAA. Over a compressed twenty game schedule bracketed by rough weather and the pandemic the centerfielder and second baseman combined to produce 32 runs and 25 RBIs while both hitting north of .390 Batting Average (AVG).

Lahood, a 2019 All-American, has signed on to play for coach Gina Carbonatto at Santa Clara University. In two seasons with the Seahawks Lahood hit for a career batting average of .459 with a 1.243 On-base Plus Slugging (OPS) percentage with eight home runs, 35 RBIs, 27 stolen bases, 11 doubles, and six triples. Lahood struck out in less than five percent of her at-bats in her sophomore campaign.

Duran has committed to play for coach Andrea Kenney at CSU Monterey Bay after hitting the cover off the ball in her sophomore season where she finished with a .475 BA and 1.110 OPS. Over two seasons with the Seahawks the dynamic second baseman produced 88 total bases, drove in 32 runs, and hit 20 doubles.

Congratulations ladies!
