What needs to happen for Women's Hoop to earn at least a share of the Coast Conference South title

APTOS -  With two games left to play in the conference season, women's basketball must win out and get a bit lucky to secure at least a share of their third consecutive Coast Conference South title.

After splitting their head to head matchup with conference leader De Anza College, the Seahawks (7-3, 12-12) now find themselves rooting for Mission College and Hartnell College who both play the Don's before a winner can be crowned.

The Don's must-win on the road at Mission (4-6, 12-14) and then take care of business at home against the Panthers(0-11, 1-25) to win the title outright.

Last time the Saint's played the Don's they came up just short, losing 94-92, in Cupertino.

If the Saints can pull off the upset in Santa Clara, the door creaks open for the Seahawks to at least get a beak in.

If the Don's implode the following game against the Panthers, then an outright title could still be on the table.

But for any of that to matter, the three-headed monster made up of sophomores Michaela Thornton Savanah Quintana-Martin and Kenedi Walters must handle business tonight on the road at Monterey Peninsula College.

The Lobos (4-6, 7-19) are licking their lips to play spoiler and get a little revenge after getting trampled in Aptos, 70-42, on January 24.

Two nights later, the Seahawks will celebrate Sophomore Night before hosting the Saints in the Adobe Palace.

Last time the Saints and Seahawks met in Santa Clara, the Hawks flew by winning 70-53 on January 29.

Tip-off in Monterey is scheduled for 5 p.m.
